To mark the First World War’s centenary, we would like to make a £500 donation to a charity that supports our military personnel, but we need your help.
On 11th November, the world will pause to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. One hundred years ago, the guns finally fell silent, but not until more than 700,000 British soldiers had been killed in the line of duty.
People all over the world will be saying ‘thank you’ for the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces, not only during the First World War, but across all conflicts. Our team works with Ministry of Defence personnel every day and we have tremendous respect for their commitment and dedication.
So, we would like to donate £500 to an Armed Forces charity and we’d like your suggestions for worthy causes. Perhaps there’s a national organisation that has helped you, your colleagues or your family, or a local charity that has made a big difference to serving personnel or veterans in your community?
If you’d like to suggest a charity to receive our gift, please visit our Facebook page and comment on the relevant post. Please share the post so that your friends can nominate too and don’t forget to like our page for updates. We’ll also announce our decision on Twitter @JNRGroup on 11th November.
Thank you for your help and, once again, thank you to our wonderful Armed Forces – you truly are national heroes.
